Common markets explained

What Money Line, Spread, Total and player picks mean, and when each is Successful.

A market is the type of outcome you're picking on. These are the ones you'll see most.

Market

What you're picking

Example

Successful if…

Money Line

Which team wins

Rams Money Line

The Rams win the game

Spread

A team to win by more than, or lose by less than, a set number of points

Broncos -3.5

The Broncos win by 4 or more

Spread (underdog)

A team to lose by less than, or win outright

Rams +3.5

The Rams win, or lose by 3 or fewer

Total (Over/Under)

Combined points scored by both teams

Over 44.5 – Total

45 or more points are scored

Player picks

How an individual player performs

Over 64.5 – Player Total Rushing Yards (Kyren Williams)

Kyren Williams rushes for 65+ yards

Why do lines end in .5?

The half point means there can't be a tie on that line, so your pick is always either Successful or Unsuccessful.
